Week 36
I am now in the middle of week 36 of pregnancy. It is unbelievable how fast the time had gone. I think that I have had a quite “easy” pregnancy so far. I have not been feeling so sick and I have not had much pain anywhere. It is not until know I have been feeling a bit of a sore back.
Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. She now weighs almost 6 pounds (like a crenshaw melon) and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. She's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered her body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected her skin during her nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of her first bowel movement.
At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely she's in a head-down position.

Spring is here!
The cats love the outdoors.
Enjoying the sun, 17 degrees warm.
Together with a glass of wine (alcohol free of course).
Monday – Wednesday: Working as usual. On Wednesday Nancy and I came to work early to fix a proper nice breakfast buffet for the kids. We enjoyed it a lot. After work on Wednesday we all went to a lecture about “Writing on computers before reading”. It was good.
On Thursday and Friday the students were off school and us teachers had time for planning. Jessica (the teacher that is taking over after me) and I were sat for a few hours looking through things. Carl came over and the boys had a few beers.
Yesterday I had a day off! The weather was brilliant; sunny and nice. I was sat outside in the sun having my breakfast. The cats have been out playing all day. Linn and Tuva came over for tea and cakes = “fika”. There is no word in English that translate the word “fika”, but it basically means: to have tea/coffe & cake/sandwiches.
I spent most of yesterday on the phone. I had to sort out all the details about parental benefits and unemployment compensation. I reckon that I now have everything under control.
In the afternoon I met up with Mike to go food shopping for the weekend. It is nice to have him with me to help carry the heavy shopping bags. My back is starting to hurt a bit now. I have read that is has to do with the cartilage bones breaking/loosening up in preparation before delivery. It is also more hard work to move around. I feel a lot bigger now, and there are still 4-5 more weeks to go, my Gosh!
In the evening we made a BBQ, the premiere one! It really feels like the spring is here.
BBQ is lit and the beer (alcohol free of course) has been poured :)
Today my plan is to paint the nursing table white, and to fix the last stuff in the baby room. But first, I need a proper English breakfast (a fry up). Yumm!
Only 9 more days at work!

85 % done!
On Saturday I went with the girls to a party at Veronica´s place in Kalmar. It was so nice to see them all again.
The cat Lee liked my tummy!
On Sunday I went to Kalmar to meet up with the "pregnant women group". It is always really nice to meet up and to have a chat.
The kids at school gave me some tips about new apps for my I-phone.
Look at me, funny face :)
I have finally got a glass cabinet for all my crystal glasses from Orrefors.

Stop and think
It feels like everything in my life is happening in rapid speed. Things are happening so fast at the moment and there is not much time to stop and think.
On my way to Kalmar today I had 45 min in the car alone to sink down in my thoughts. I realized how happy and lucky I am.
It is not long ago since I had a monster in my body (the cancer) and now things are totally different. I have a life growing inside of me. My feelings and hormones are running wild right now. Is this really happening? Sometimes I have to pinch my arm to make sure that I am not dreaming. Tears of happiness are flowing down my cheeks.

Week 34
Week 34
Monday – Friday: has been a normal working week, but an intensive one. I have had 5 “teacher/student/parents meetings”. We also had a parents meeting were all the parents were invited to on Tuesday evening. So it has been long days at work, and I have been absolutely knackered in the evenings. I have now only 3 weeks left at work. I love my job and I am going to miss it a lot.
On Tuesday afternoon Mike and I went to the hospital for an information meeting about giving birth. It was brilliant. The nurses gave really good information and I now feel even more calm and prepared before the delivery.
On Thursday afternoon I went to visit Linn and Tuva.
Tuva cutie!
Yesterday after work I had two meeting, so I was not home until around 18pm. After a plate of fish and chips, I fell fast asleep on the sofa at 22pm or something. What a Friday night!
Today Mike and I made pancakes for breakfast. I will clean out my wardrobe in a minute and later I am going over to the other houses to help Emma moving out. Tonight I am off to a party at Veronicas place in Kalmar with the girls. The alcohol free wine is on the ice at the moment :)
Tomorrow I am going to Kalmar yet again to meet up with the “Mom to be group”. It will be tea and cakes, and lots of baby talk!
Good morning :)

4 weeks left at work
I am now counting down the weeks that is left at work. 4 weeks left!
This week has been a normal working week. The parent/student/teacher meetings (utvecklingssamtal) has started now. So far I have done 4 out of 14.
On the night of Thurday I had to go into the hospital yet AGAIN because I had contractions every 5 minutes for 3-4 hours in the evening. I got examined and then got to go home (as I thought) but I still had to go in because you should not really have THAT much/frequent contractions. It calmed down after a while and now I only feel them as normal (a few times an hour). This time it had nothing to do with a urine infection though. I guess my uterus is just a very active one :)
Yesterday evening we had some Friday pizza. Carl came over and the boys played video games and drank beer. I chilled with some games of Wordfeud (theresch) and Facebook games :)
I was stuck with the alcohol free beer, but it actually tastes pretty good on a Friday evening :)
Today my Mom is coming over. We are going to have some dinner and we are going to watch the Swedish eurovision song contest qualifiers.
Tomorrow I am going to Kalmar to have coffee with the "Moms to be group". In the afternoon Ida and Annie are coming over.
My Mom brought chocolates back from Gran Canaria. They were REALLY yummy!

Weekend in Flygsfors
The lake in Flygsfors
Monday - Friday: I have been working as a substitute teacher in year 1-2. It has been fun and interesting to see the difference between the ages. We have had a visit from the fire department. The kids loved it and so did I ;) It is always more fun to work when there is a fireman in the same room!
Yesterday the weather was lovely, it was sunny and nice. The cats where out all day.
Wilda loves to be on top of the roof
Carl was here and we were raking up all the leaves in the garden and I cleaned/organized the garage. Spring cleaning :)
In the evening Mike and I had dinner at Dad and Karins place. Yummy, three course meal. Very nice!
Today I have been up early to watch the omnibuse (last weeks episodes) of Eastenders. Then I went for a walk to feed some bread to the ducks.
Later Mike and I went to my Dads again in the afternoon to fix a problem with the van. I also went for a walk in Flygsfors near the lake. It is so beutiful there. I have not been there in ages, probarbly 15 years ago since last time. I think now when I will be off work I will go there with the pram a few more times.
For dinner today we made tacos. Now we will just chill with a film or two.
Tomorrow we enter week 33!
